Highlights from Past Events
ILAVESNP was proud to present Teaching to all students is what teachers are challenged to do. The "Diversity with Inclusion: Meeting the Challenges of a Diverse Student Body" workshop focused on identification and strategies that facilitate the inclusion of all students. The "Collaboration Efforts for Successful Inclusion" session discussed essential concepts that for successful participation. Included were strategies for teacher-teacher, teacher-family, teacher-home school, and teacher-community collaborative efforts that promote inclusion for all students.

proud to present In this workshop, participants discussed the needs of English language learners and the characteristics of effective learning environments for all students, experienced a sample standards-based differentiated lesson and worked on applications for CTE classes, and used the strategies modeled by Kagan and Marzano.

proud to present This workshop was designed to help participants expand their knowledge of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, understand different learning styles and recognize the strengths of these students.

This great session was presented by Karen Bourne, Karen Shaw, and Anita Moore. Karen S. Bourne, B.S.Ed. has earned a Special Education degree from Eastern Illinois University with certifications in five separate areas and numerous hours of seminars, workshops and continuing education. She has completed 29 years of teaching Special Education in public school systems. Karen Shaw is an Instructor of Education, Social and Business Sciences.
